CBS Ghosts
Project
Ghost Mirror
Project Overview
An interactive street-level activation created for CBS to promote a new season of Ghosts, bringing the show’s supernatural storytelling into the real world through an unexpected, immersive experience.
Objective
Engage passersby in Los Angeles with a playful, surprising installation that blurred the line between fiction and reality—extending the show’s narrative beyond the screen and into the street through a large Victorian-style mirror and tablet controller program.
Creative Approach
At unexpected moments, the mirror came to life as the glass fogs and words appeared as if Trevor, a ghost from the show, was writing it in real-time.
Key Experience Elements
— Life-sized Victorian “magic mirror” installation placed on the streets of Los Angeles
— Custom UI/UX for the mirror and tablet application
— Bespoke typeface designed to emulate Trevor’s finger-writing on the mirror, as seen in the series
— Hidden actor-operated tablet program enabling live, responsive dialogue as well as pre-written messages based on participant questions
Results
The installation delighted audiences, creating memorable interactions and highly shareable moments while immersing participants directly into the world of Ghosts.
