Project
A Typeface

Project Overview
A fully hand-generated typeface created as an analog system rather than a digitally typable font, emphasizing process, experimentation, and physical making.

Objective
Explore letterform creation as a tactile practice while challenging traditional expectations of how typefaces are learned, used, and distributed.

Creative Approach
Instead of physical letterforms, the typeface lives as a toolkit. The custom box contains teaching materials alongside fold-out type specimen posters, visual references that inspired the font, and a curated set of tools—including brushes, pens, inks, and a ruler—encouraging users to actively participate in recreating the letterforms by hand.

Key Elements
— Physical typeface toolkit designed to develop a deeper understanding of letterform construction through hands-on, analog experimentation
— Curated visual references that informed the typeface’s creation
— Fold-out type specimen posters showcasing letterforms and usage
