Charles Smith Decoded
This economical wine mailer made a big impression by using a playful concept of decoding facts about Charles Smith Wines. Each box came with red 3D glasses to help reveal hidden messages about the bottles of wine. The backside of the wine wrap turned into a poster with true and false questions about the type of wine and its origin.
I was given the challenge to cohesively package a mailer with 3 bottles of different Ruffino wines and a custom map. To sick with the map theme I designed a passport-sized tasting booklet with scenic photography and information about each wine to walk viewers through landmarks on the map. Topography was used through the mailer to string each element together, even the exterior of the shipping box which was hand-drawn to personalize the shipment and to draw a recipient in once the package is received.
